Illustration seen as creation of art for practical purposes; art and communication. Composition: how to organize images in space. Study of watercolour, tempera-gouache, acrylics, pastels, oil, airbrush and mixed media. The different surfaces, paper, cardboard and canvas. The creative process: how to interpret a text or briefing, from the initial idea to the finished artwork; sketches, layouts and illustrations. Working with the printed word, advertising and/or editing (fiction and non-fiction). The scanner and the separation of colours, formats, reductions and enlargements. How to present one’s work and to prepare a personal portfolio.
No drawing skills is required. You will gain practical technical knowledge and hands on experience in a fun and friendly environment. We are rather flexible and shape as much as possible the program for the needs, interests and skills of students.
FINE ART COURSE
Timetable: 170 hours, 12 weeks long.
10 weeks: 3 hours a day per 4 days (Monday to Thursday)
2 weeks: 5 hours a day per 5 days (Monday to Friday)
